My mission
1. Why access?
When is the last time that you heard about a state-of-the-art intervention only to realize that people like you and me would have to wait decades to actually access it because of inequities in society?
I want to fix that.
2. Why evidence-based?
Working from a base of evidence ensures that every decision is informed by data. When we forego good evidence, we tend to replicate systems of White supremacy, ableism, misogyny, and transphobia.
I want to see research done well.
3. Why healthcare?
When is the last time you avoided your doctor because you couldn't get the services you needed quickly, affordably, without judgment or bias?
I want to see that in the world.
4. Why design?
Design done well means we get solutions that work well for everyone. Design done poorly looks beautiful, but doesn't work and often exists to cover up decisions made by people in power.
I want to see design done well.
